Abus’ version 2.0 of the Hyban and version 3.0 of the Urban-I helmet are aimed squarely at urban riders who ride at night. Both helmets combine a strong outer shell and huge air intakes to keep you cool while riding. It also features a bright rear LED light with 180-degree visibility and reflectors all the way around to help you be seen at night. Helmet-level lighting captures drivers’ attention more than even bike-mounted lighting does.

The hard shell is made of injection-molded ABS, the inner shell is EPS foam, and it has a bug mesh to keep insects out of your hair (literally). It’s ponytail-compatible, so it’s long-hair-friendly and the adjustment ring makes fine-tuning the fit very simple. They even make it in an XL (62+cm) version for those who are cranially gifted. Both are available in a variety of colors.
