TRIUMPH LAUNCHES THEIR FIRST E-BIKE

Triumph, the world-famous motorcycle manufacturer that began making motorcycles in 1902, has entered the electric bicycle market. It seems a natural fit, since the company has been making powerful two-wheeled vehicles for so long.

Their first offering is the Trekker GT, powered by a Shimano STEPS E6100 motor and using an integrated 504Wh battery. The frame is aluminum, cable routing is internal, and they’ve chosen a Rockshox Paragon Silver TK 65mm travel fork.

The bike was designed in-house by Triumph’s styling team, with a simple but elegant frame, narrow-width handlebars and a Selle Royal Vivo saddle to provide comfort and good rider control. The bike is aimed at commuters, with good range and a 250W Shimano motor, as well as an Ostand cargo rack and a built-in ABUS 5850 cafe lock. The integrated LED lighting is by Benex.

Price is $3750.
