TREK ANNOUNCES NEW POWERFLY eMTB

2018 Trek Powerfly electric mountain bike preview

Trek today announced new models of the Powerfully. Powered by a Bosch CX motor and the newer Bosch 500Wh battery and a Purion display, it features proven Trek mountain bike geometry and suspension. The frames are all built from Trek’s Alpha Platinum Aluminum alloy and feature Boost 148/110 hub spacing.

The battery has been really integrated into the frame design, barely protruding from the down tube to help keep it secure and keep the center of gravity very low, offering better handling and a more traditional mountain bike feel.

Full-suspension Powerfly models feature Trek’s patented Active Braking Pivot suspension layout for maximum control in every situation. Full-suspension models also get extra frame stiffness thanks to Trek’s exclusive Straight Shot downtube with Knock Block frame defense.

Select Powerfly models include maximum pedal-assist performance with specific e-MTB drivetrains, forks, and brakes, while both Powerfly LT models feature Trek’s exclusive RE:aktiv shock for additional responsiveness and control over more demanding terrain (availability varies by market).

The Powerfly is available through your local qualified Trek dealer as you are reading this. For more information, visit trekbikes.com.
