The Long Way Up

LONG WAY UP

Actor Ewan McGregor is also known for his motorcycling adventures. This time he’s teamed up with friend Charley Boorman, and they’ve chosen the Harley-Davidson LiveWire for their machines to produce an adventure riding film called The Long Way Up, traveling from Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Los Angeles, California.

The LiveWire has a range of between 95 and 146 miles per charge, depending on speed and conditions. They’ll be riding on unpaved roads quite a bit on this journey, so it will be interesting to see what they actually get in terms of range. The bikes have been modified with handguards, luggage, different wheels and tires, and possibly more.

Support vehicles for film crew will be Rivian trucks, which are also electric, and have a range of 400 miles per charge, and they’ll be equipped with superchargers to recharge the bikes when there are no charge stations.
