The First Ever e-MTB World Champions are Crowned

The first UCI e-Bike World Championships were held on Wednesday, August 28, in Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec, Canada.

In the women’s field, Switzerland’s Nathalie Schneitter beat out Canada’s Maghalie Rochette in second and 2011 & 2012 UCI Fourcross World Champion Anneke Beerten in third.

Among the many previous MTB World Champions and even Olympic Gold Medalists in the men’s field—like Miguel Martinez, Jaroslav Kulhavy and Julien Absalon—it was last year’s Under-23 MTB World Champion Alan Hatherly who claimed the inaugural e-MTB World Champion’s crown.
