German bike brand Storck Bicycle just announced two brand-new electric mountain bikes, the e:drenaline and e:drenic. Both are powered by the new Shimano EP8 motor and a 504-Wh battery. They feature carbon frames and a variety of component selection. There are 16 configurations available for the e:drenic, mostly variations on suspension setup, and nearly innumerable variations on the e:drenaline, varying suspension, wheelsets and more.
The all-mountain bike features Fox suspension, with 170mm of travel in the front and 150mm in the rear,
and a claimed weight of under 20 kilograms. The enduro bike has 180mm of suspension travel front and
rear. It is claimed to tip the scales at 19.7 kilograms.
The e:drenaline is their all-mountain bike and will start at €3999 and go up to €7999, based on components and the e:drenic enduro bike starts at €6999 and goes up to €7999. Storck said the bikes should begin shipping by the beginning of the year, and they are currently taking deposits.
Mountain Bike Action is a monthly magazine devoted to all things mountain biking (yes, that’s 12 times a year because we never take a month off of mountain biking). It has been around since 1986 and we’re still having fun.
