PORSCHE BOUGHT FAZUA: YOU SHOULDN’T BE SURPRISED!
The sustainable future movement is gaining momentum and we can only assume more investments like this will become a trend. Porsche recently announced that they have purchased what was left of the Fazua e-bike drive system stock. They had already been invested to a smaller degree with Fazua as well as the Greyp e-bike brand.
Porsche has plans of investing 17 million dollars into the development of new products over the next five years. A large portion of that investment will be dedicated to electric mobility. This is not only exciting news for consumers but a testament to how useful electric technology is for the world.
Fazua is yet another German e-bike assist system brand like Bosch and Brose drive systems but with their own take on what a pedal assist system can be. They primarily focus on lighter-weight systems with a little less power than most class 1 e-bikes. Fazua can be found on 40 or more brands including Bulls, Trek, NOX to name a few.
Most companies working with Fazua use the Ride 50 Evation system although they have recently released the Ride 60 Evation which weighs 4.5 pounds with a 5 pound 430Wh battery. The new motor is set to be released in August. You can check out a video of how the system is charged and removed here. Our sister-zine Mountain Bike Action will have a review of the NOX mountain bike soon and will be found here. We have tested the Bulls Wild Flow Evo RS with the Fazua system and that can be found here.
The Future of electric technology is bright and with household names like Porsche getting in the mix, it can only get brighter.
