NTS WORKS REBUILDABLE BATTERY

The NTS Works battery is small and compact with a tough, water-sealed case.

Neal Saiki, the founder of Zero Electric Motorcycles, is back working on his own projects at NTS Works. One of his first projects is a nine Amp/hour Mini 48V Battery that is completely rebuildable. This battery pack has 39 Samsung cells arranged in a tight grid and separated with fire resistant barriers. A unique feature of the $600 NTS Works battery is that the cells are not welded, but held in place with pressure between copper contacts. That design allows NTS Works to rebuild the pack for half the price of a new pack. The fully water-sealed battery case is made from 2.3mm thick aluminum plate and 8mm thick fire retardant plastic.
