NIU DEBUTS ELECTRIC SCOOTER IN U.S. AT CES
NIU Technologies launches their new scooter in the U.S. at CES
NIU Technologies is debuting their newest electric scooter, the NQi-GTs Pro, at CES today. If you’re there, you can stop by their booth and check out their latest technology in person.
It is built for urban commuting, and features 14″ wheels, a Bosch 3000W hub motor and two removable 2.1kWh batteries. It boasts up to 80 miles on a single charge, depending on speed, and can reach a top speed of over 40 mph.
NIU is opening stores to provide customers with a high-quality experience and customer care. Potential customers can test ride before buying at stores in Austin, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Chicago and Honolulu.
There is a built-in, prepaid SIM card that allows 24/7 connectivity to an app that can offer real-time intelligence and advanced safety features, including GPS functionality, anti-theft and remote tracking, vehicle diagnostics and access to a customer service help center. The app can also keep tabs on the battery life, motor performance and overall vehicle health, and even perform over-the-air updates. Range can be more accurate as the app learns a rider’s driving habits.
The e-scooters feature dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes, oil shocks, LED lighting, an LCD dashboard, and a USB charging port.
Prices start in the mid-$2000 range (depending on state and federal taxes and import tariffs on Chinese goods).
