BONTRAGER ARVADA PRO SADDLE
Just the right amount of support
Bontrager has a deep range of products and components for the modern mountain biker, including a comfortable line of saddles. The Arvada Pro was designed for road and mountain riding with three different width options for a customized fit. Bontrager uses a cutout to relieve soft- tissue pressure and a channel flex for a little extra vertical compliance. The Arvada Pro retails for $200 with carbon rails, online or at your local dealer. www.trekbikes.com
MAVIC XA PRO SHOES
A shoe for every trail
Mavic is best known for their wheels—from road to downhill—but they also have an extensive line of soft goods. The XA Pro shoes are their do-it-all trail shoes for everyday trail or backcountry adventure riding. These shoes use Mavic’s Endofit tongue that wraps around the top of your foot for a comfortable and secure fit. On the retention side is their Ergo Dial QR that offers very small tension increments. Mavic wanted the XA Pro shoes to be comfortable to walk in and added the Energy Grip Trail outsole. These shoes retail for $180 and can be found at your local dealer. shop.mavic.com
