Mercedes-Benz Jumps Into The E-bike Market
EQ Formula E Team bikes that are very stealthy
The famed German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has jumped into the e-bike market with some truly beautiful e-bikes. The bikes were made in a partnership between MB and N+, a company that worked with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team and Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team to create these bikes and bring them to the global market.
There are three models, all featuring a 6061 aluminum frame and fork.

The EQ Formula E Team City Racer eBike
The EQ Formula E Team City Racer eBike weighs in at 39.6 lbs. It has a 250W hub motor with 45Nm of torque, a Gates carbon belt drive, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and Kenda tires. Claimed range is 28 miles.

EQ Formula E Team eBike
The EQ Formula E Team eBike also weighs in at 39.6 lbs. It has a mid-drive motor rated at 250W and 65Nm of torque, and a Gates carbon belt running back to an Enviolo CVP (continuously variable planetary) transmission. Similarly, it has Tektro hydraulic brakes and Kenda tires. Claimed range is 37 miles.
This one jumps considerably in price, to $3200.
EQ Formula E Team Silver Arrows eBike
The final model, the EQ Formula E Team Silver Arrows eBike, adds in a second battery, bumping up the weight up to 44 lbs. The motor is a mid-drive putting out 250W and 75Nm of torque, with an Enviolo hub, Gates belt drive and Tektro brakes. Claimed range is up to 62 miles.
The price on the EQ Formula E Team Silver Arrows eBike is $4500.
All three models have a 252Wh battery that is integrated into the frame, able to be fully charged in 3.5 hours. Top speed is set by country. In Europe, it’s 15.5 mph, in the U.S. it will be 20 mph (Class 1).
