MEET THE NEW LIV THRIVE E+ EX PRO

Designed from the ground up for women.

Liv Cycling, the division of the Giant Group dedicated to designing women-specific bikes, today announces the Thrive E+ series. These bikes are built to have the  fast and light feeling of a road bike with the comfort of a flat-bar bike, incorporating the boost of a pedal-assist motor system.

It features an integrated 375Wh battery and a Giant Syncdrive Pro (Yamaha PW-X II) motor that provides up to 360% motor support. The new motor also features a Smart Assist mode that automatically adjusts the support level based on thrider’s pedaling input, customized to each rider. The PedalPlus 6-Sensor Technology translates six measurements (torque, speed, cadence, motor rotation, slope detection, accelerometer sensor) about the rider and adds the perfect amount of power at just the right time for a fast and fluid ride quality. We rode the Smart Assist mode recently on the Giant Reign E+ 0 Pro, and it is intuitive and outstanding!

Integrated lighting is a nice touch on a commuter. Great for seeing at night, notice the side prisms to cast a wider beam, and good for extra visibility during the day.

Note also the integrated tail light, built into a sturdy rear rack.

A Giant Sync Drive Pro, Liv/Giant’s name for the Yamaha PW-X II motor, provides up to 360% assistance, and their Smart Assist mode is amazing!

The battery system is one of their own EnergyPak designs, which can be charged at 6A to reach 80% capacity in 1.4 hours. They claim a range of up to 110 km per charge.

The new Trhive E+ series will be available in Europe and North America this fall.
