Letters: Less Action Please

LESS ACTION

It’s OK to let the wheels come off the ground sometimes: The bike featured above is a BMC and they have a full range of electric-assist bicycles, take a look 👉 www.bmc-switzerland.com       Read EBA’s Bike Test on the BMC Alpenchallenge AMP Cross One here.

When I received my first and second issues of Electric Bike Action last year, I was disappointed that the emphasis seemed to be “action,” as if the target audience were mountain e-bikers who seek challenges to be overcome, up and down trails of sticks and stones, logs and boulders. The action photos of airborne mountain bikers are unimpressive to those of us who do not invite danger in our biking. Not all e-bikers are seeking adventures. Some of us ride for exercise, recreation or transportation without such distractions. Perhaps there are more of us than there are mountain bikers. I was pleased that recent issues have included articles (and ads) that focus on road and urban riding. I have renewed my subscription.

Jan, thanks for renewing, and thank you for your feedback! We love hearing from our readers as to what you like and what you don’t. Though we do see some of the off-road antics as visually stunning, we want to serve all of our readers, on-road and off.

A family that rides together, sticks together:  What’s better than getting out there for a recreational urban adventure?
