Lapierre Goes Electric Mountain Biking
Carrying momentum built during its inaugural season in North American, Lapierre will offer a glimpse into its 2015 season mountain bike offerings this week. At the Sea Otter Classic in Laguna Seca, CA (Apr. 10 through the 13th, booth #505), Lapierre will reveal the Overvolt line of electric mountain bikes.
Lapierre says the Overvolt makes mountain biking accessible to a broader range of people, allowing riders to push their limits and ride longer, faster and climb higher than ever before. The Overvolt is a true spec mountain bike, and offers the same quality and rideability brought to you with Lapierre’s Spicy and Zesty models, and was designed and tested extensively with 10x World Champion Nicolas Vouilloz.
Equipped with the elite Bosch Performance motor, the Overvolt provides reliability, providing varying levels of power depending on gear selection and forces applied by the rider. The Overvolt features an Intuvia computer display, allowing the rider to choose from 4 power assist modes. Combined with 3 sensors measuring force, pedal cadence and speed at 1000 times per second, the Overvolt offers the incredibly smooth ride of a standard mountain bike yet with a powerful kick.
