First Ride: BESV TRB1

While at Sea Otter, we had the chance to ride BESV’s new TRB1 mountain bikes. For their first mountain bike, it’s a good one! Rock Shot suspension, Shimano Deore XT 11-speed (1×11) and Magura MT4 brakes, Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires and good geometry in both the hardtail and full suspension versions. It rode well on the course, handling everything in its way with relative ease. A Brose motor powers it with a 756Wh battery. We didn’t have a chance to test the full range, but it should be a truly long-range beast with that battery and motor combo.

The unique frame design has what looks like a tank on the top, but it flips open to let the battery slide out through the top.
