Course Sweeper Get Swept Up

Bob Rathcamp, who imports and distributes Gaerne cycling shoes and motocross and road racing boots in America, volunteered to run sweep at the LA Over The Hump Race last Thursday. Bob used a Lapierre electric bike to follow the last wave of racers and help riders in need. What Bob didn’t expect was that his son, Spencer, would set such a blistering pace at the front of the Elite Class (that he went on to win) that the race leaders would catch bob one the first lap!

The electric power helps Bob get out of the racer’s way and still keep an eye on the beginners. Too cool.
