CHECK OUT TREK’S FAZUA-POWERED DOMANE+ LT

Ultra-lightweight drop-bar electric bike from Trek

Trek has today officially announced the newest addition to their e-stable, the Domane+ LT. It’s an ultra-lightweight e-road bike powered by a Fazua motor system. The battery and motor are one unit that can be removed to make the e-bike a regular bike, and drops the weight to a mere 23.6 lbs (56cm frame). The bike is built on the proven Domane platform, modified to accept the motor system.

Even with the battery and motor installed, the bike still remains lighter than most other drop-bar e-bike systems. The controls are altogether in the frame’s top tube.

The Fazua system comes with a 250Wh battery that sustains speeds of up to 20 mph and delivers continuous assist for up to 65 miles. With the motor and battery installed, a 56 cm Domane+ LT tips the scales at a svelte 29.9 lbs.

The frame is built with a 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame and fork, a 2×11 Shimano Ultegra drivetrain, integrated front and rear lighting, and hydraulic disc brakes.

Domane+ LT is part of Trek’s first-ever electric bike offering in the Project One custom bike program, where riders can customize their dream bike with premium paint schemes (including Project One ICON schemes) and select component spec options.
