Canyon’s 4-Wheeler e-Ride
Canyon’s new four-wheel e-bike concept can be fully enclosed to keep out the elements for commuters, errand-runners, and just-for-fun riders. We’ve always said that electric vehicles aren’t constrained to what traditional human- and internal combustion engine-driven vehicles are, so form factors are wide open.
Canyon teamed up with the Technical University of Aachen to design this futuristic mobility concept. It combines the lightweight of an e-bike, the stability of four wheels and a “storm-proof” design.
According to Canyon, “As the popularity of e-bikes skyrockets in urban areas, 45 percent of potential users still want a form of transport that is protected from wind, rain and snow.” That 45 percent is based on a McKinsey study of micro-mobility.
Mountain Bike Action is a monthly magazine devoted to all things mountain biking (yes, that’s 12 times a year because we never take a month off of mountain biking). It has been around since 1986 and we’re still having fun.
