Cannondale Announces Quick Neo SL

Cannondale today announced their newest e-bike, the Quick Neo SL. It’s aimed squarely at commuters and fitness riders.

The bike features an Ebikemotion X35 hub motor, weighing in at 7.7 lbs for the system, making the bike very light. That motor provides 250W of power through the diminutive rear hub. There’s a battery in there, it’s inside the downtime. The system is controlled through a single button on the top tube. The motor cuts off at 20 mph (Class 1), and provides virtually no drag at higher speeds than that.

Frame construction is Cannondale’s advanced SmartForm C3 alloy, and the fork is carbon. Their proprietary OutFront steering geometry delivers agile handling with extra high-speed stability, perfect for the increased speeds of an e-bike. And, since the front wheel is slightly farther out in front of the rider, there is less chance of toe-overlap on the bike’s smaller sizes.

The Quick Neo SL models come in two frame styles – a version with a standard top tube, and an easy-to-hop-on, step-thru Remixte unisex design. All models feature speedy 700x38c tires that deliver a smooth ride while offering enough volume to tame the bumps in the road. A bike of all trades, Quick Neo SL’s sporty nature encourages spirited riding to keep riders fit, but it’s also equipped for everyday city life with mounts for racks and fenders, integrated lights and plenty of reflective accents for increased visibility in low light.

All models of the Quick Neo SL come outfitted with the Cannondale Wheel Sensor and Intellimount stem, offering riders a new way to connect with their bike and the ride experience. The sensor pairs with the free Cannondale App, giving the rider access to speed, distance, calories burned and even carbon emissions saved. A secure mount on the stem allows riders to turn their smartphone into a real-time dashboard display. The Cannondale App also tracks maintenance needs and sends reminders when it’s time for a service, automatically registers the bike with Cannondale, and more.

There are two models of the new Cannondale Quick Neo SL, Quick Neo SL 1 and Quick NEO SL 2. The bikes are available in sizes Small, Medium, and Large (Standard) as well as Small and Large (Remixte).

Pricing for the Quick Neo 1 in Regular or Remixte is US$ 2800/CAD$3650, The Quick Neo 2 in regular or Remixte is US$2400/CAD$2850.
