BOSCH ANNOUNCES NEW PERFORMANCE LINE SPORT MOTOR
All-new Class 3 e-bike motor
Bosch is launching a brand new motor, called the Performance Line Sport. It’s a Class 3 (28 mph), that boasts 65Nm of torque, up to 300% assist, and longer battery range. In the U.S., it will be available on four of Bosch’s partner-brands, including Benno Bikes, Cannondale, Electra, and Tern. Depending on the brand and model, bikes with the Performance Line Sport drive unit will be available to consumers as early as November 2020.
It’s aimed at commuters and cargo bike riders, made for easy starts and high-cadence rides, with efficiency built in to allow longer range.
“We’re proud to introduce Performance Line Sport,” says Claudia Wasko, VP of Bosch eBike Systems. “This new drive unit was developed out of a desire to give riders just a little bit more of everything that makes a Bosch-equipped eBike special. I’m confident that it will be a popular choice for both our brand partners and cyclists.”
