Basso Launches New Volta Bikes
Basso Bikes is launching a new electric bike platform, called Volta, that is configurable as a road bike, a gravel bike, or a city/commuter bike. It is based on Basso’s Palta gravel bike, and it is powered by a 250W Polini motor, which offers 70Nm of torque, and a 500Wh battery integrated into the down tube that they claim offers up to 220km of range (in level 1, with a 60kg rider)
The bike features a handmade carbon frame with the same geometry as the Palta, and is highly configurable, with options on the group set, wheels, stem, crank arm length and more. They suggest simply changing tires and it’s ready for gravel, and by adding a rack using the built-in bosses and you can use it as a commuter.
No word on price yet. Here’s a video of all 3 setups.
