Bern Helmets, a popular brand with unique looking helmets, has a new helmet design that utilizes MIPS, which is an acronym for Multi-directional Impact System, which was designed to reduce rotational force to the head in crashes using an inner MIPS liner that allows for 10-15mm of movement to ameliorate impact forces. Their new Brentwood 2.0 builds on the design of their original Brentwood model, using their light and strong Zipmold+ technology. They have what they call the EZ Fit System that eschews dials or knobs to adjust it, and the visor is removable and washable. Different colored helmets have different colored visors, check out their website for options.
The Matte Slate Green is normally $94.99, but thanks to what they call a “MIPS-up” at the factory, they now have that color on sale for $69.99 with the code MIPSUP.
The helmet is also available in Matte Sand, Matte Muted Teal or Matte Black and sizes small, medium and large for the regular price, still not bad for a helmet with MIPS technology in it.
