BONTRAGER FLARE RT LIGHT
Bontrager has a powerful yet tiny little taillight that’s great for both daytime and nighttime use. The $60 light uses USB charging and is focused to enhance daylight visibility with an interruptive flash pattern and up to 90 lumens of visibility.
The different modes offer different run-times. Ninety lumens will last you 6 hours, 45 Lumens will go 12 hours, and 5 lumens will run 15 hours. There are steady modes as well—25 lumens will last 4.5 hours and 5 lumens will run for almost 14 hours. There’s even a Battery Save mode when the light reaches 5-percent battery, which will allow another 30 minutes of run-time. It can auto-adjust light level and you can even have fine control (and see battery status) via Garmin and Bontrager ANT+ devices.
It’s IPX7 waterproof, so you can ride in rain without worry. It has an easy-to-attach bracket to go around your seatpost, and a quick-release mount so you can easily take it off when you park your bike, for charging, etc. It comes with a quick-connect bracket and a micro-USB charge cable.
