Alta Motors Electric Motorcycle To Take On Gas-Powered Bikes In Red Bull Straight Rhythm
Red Bull Straight Rhythm, Red Bull’s turnless supercross race on a 1/2 mile-long straight track, will feature an electric motorcycle from Alta Motors for the first time this year. The bike’s debut in this race will be piloted by former Supercross winner Josh Hill. It’s racing in the Lites class, and the action will go down on October 22nd in Pomona, California at the Fairplex. Tickets start at $25 for a 4-pack, $35 General Admission and $150 for VIP. Social media users can get a 5% discount using twitter or Google+.

It’s an Alta Motors Redshift MX, a bike with 40 Horsepower, 36 ft-lbs of torque, and a claimed 2-hour range. It weighs in at 251 lbs and is designed for the MX2/Lites class racing.
